Serena Williams is known by most as the biggest most successful female tennis player in the world, ranked at no.1 in 2013, and consistently beating players with her powerful display on court.
In 2014, Williams has five titles to date. In 2013 Williams won both Roland Garros and the US Open, and has averaged two Grand Slam event wins per year since 2007.
Maria Sharapova is also another great tennis player who has an impressive CV.
Sharapova won her very first major tournament in 2004 at just the age of 17, defeating Serena Williams in the Wimbledon final.
In 2014 Sharapova has won three titles to date, winning Roland Garros on clay and also winning the title at Stuttgart for the second consecutive time.

Wozniacki reached her first Grand Slam final in 2009 at the US Open, and although Wozniacki has yet to win a Grand Slam title, she has made several semi-final appearances since and usually does very well at the big events.
